Visits to Wineries. In the Somontano Wine Route wineries, when going with children, a visit aimed at the whole family should be a must in your bucket list. With this focus on the visit, parents are helped to reconcile, and are able to enjoy the visit to the winery and a product such as wine, exclusively for adults, all of it in an inclusive way towards children, who can also experiment doing some enotourism. The children are given a children’s wine tourism guide and they receive some must-juice in the tasting session, so that their visit becomes a more participatory  and approachable one.

Below are some of the participating wineries:

Sommos Winery: A family visit catered for children, accompanied by adults. This is a unique experience to enjoy as a family, and in which the child is expected to actively participate. During this visit alcohol is not served to the adults accompanying the minors, since it is an activity always designed with the little ones in mind. The children learn about the wine-making process in a fun and educational way. The visit ends with a sensory workshop on aromas and flavors, culminating with must-juice tasting. These interesting activities take place on the first Sunday of each month, at 10:00 am.

Viñas del Vero Winery: An activity focused on groups of children between the ages of 4 and 14 years old. It is an introduction for children to the area’s agri-food products and the World of the Senses, by way of experimenting with saline, sweet, bitter solutions… It is an interactive activity that consists of smelling and touching aromatic herbs. The purpose of this activity is for the children to increase their specific vocabulary and for them to learn about farm work and agriculture.
