Circular Used - Azpe - Abellada - Bentué de Nocito

A circular walk through the Natural Park, which follows the old paths which connected four of these villages, two of which are now uninhabited, Azpe and Abellada.

The suggested route starts at the car park opposite Used and climbs up the track leading into the village. On leaving Used, you’ll come to a crossroads where you should
take the path on the left towards Bentué de Nocito. After walking for about 50 metres, you have two options: one straight ahead leading to Bentué de Nocito (30 mins) and another to the right ascending towards Azpe (1 hr 30 mins).

Taking the climb up to Azpe, and after walking through the village, the route continues for a further 30 minutes to the nearby village of Abellada along a path dotted with old, centuries-old gall oaks.

From the Abellada fountain, you can make your way into the village, taking care when walking through the streets and avoiding entering the houses due to the risk of collapse; alternatively, you can follow the path to begin the descent to Bentué de Nocito, which takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, passing by the old Abellada mill, now in ruins.

The return to Used follows a more or less flat path (GR-1), which takes about 30 minutes to reach the initial crossroads, from where the route descends to the car park at the starting point.
