Ornitología Rodellar

Leaving the Centre for Interpretation in Bierge, take the HU-341 road towards Rodellar.

Once we arrive in Rodellar, we’ll leave the car in the car park and walk through the village to the La Honguera neighbourhood. Continuing on, we’ll come to a zigzagging path that leads down to the River Mascún. From up here, we can already start to spot various species such as: Warblers (Lesser Whitethroat, Blackcap), Chiffchaffs, Goldfinches, Shrikes, Bee-eaters, Greenfinches, Blue Tits, Wren, Redstart (in spring)….

Following the course of the river, we can spot the grey heron, the grey wagtail and the white wagtail.

As we gaze upon the peaks and ridges that surround us, we can spot a wide variety of rock-dwelling birds, such as: Golden Eagle, Griffon Vulture, Bearded Vulture, and, later in spring, Bonelli’s Eagle and Egyptian Vulture.
