A short, easy walk that takes you past 26 majestic, centuries-old holm oaks, whose stature and grandeur are sure to impress anyone who sees them.
The proposed route is a circular walk that takes in former fields which were replanted with pine trees around the 1960s.
The path winds its way through a series of bends, allowing us to get right up close to the base of the centuries-old gall oaks. The path is numbered to help with navigation, so keep an eye out for the wooden signposts with coloured markings and small arrows indicating the direction.
After passing the first 20 trees, we come to the forest track linking Las Bellostas with San Hipólito. Once we’ve crossed it, the route continues in a short loop that allows us to see four more gall-oak trees before rejoining the track.
From here, we return to the starting point along the forest track, where, on the left-hand side as we climb, we will find another two centuries-old gall oaks of impressive size.
Take the S-15 path, which runs from Las Bellostas to Bagüeste along the GR1 (marked with red and white signs).
