The centre for interpretation of pottery in Naval has a lot of history to tell. The house where it is located belonged to Pedro Salanova, who had only one daughter. The pottery tradition was passed down from parents to children in this way so that Pedro waited for his daughter to get get married so that he could teach the trade to his son-in-law. But her daughter never did marry and when she Pedro she continued to live in that house. In memory of her father she never changed anything about what was inside the house.
After her death, the house was converted into a Pottery Interpretation Centre, where visitors can see the workshop, the clay settling ponds and the Arab kiln. It also offers an engaging introduction to the history and techniques of pottery.
