Sierra de Guara Visitor Centre

The centre provides an informative audiovisual presentation that will help us better understand the geological and erosive processes that give rise to significant formations such as canyons, caves, chasms, sinkholes, etc.

We can also see a replica of a cave featuring prehistoric artefacts and cave paintings.

It offers a spectacular recreation of a typical rocky outcrop in the Sierra de Guara, complete with life-size replicas of bearded vultures and their habitat (nests, ledges, etc.), wallcreepers, red-backed shrikes, red-billed choughs and other rock-dwelling birds.

The ‘Guara Yesterday, Guara Today’ section features an exhibition of tools associated with the traditional trades once practised in the villages of the Sierra de Guara. One section is dedicated to the unique flora of Guara, whilst another explores how water and erosion have shaped the rocks, giving rise to fascinating geological formations.
