The route takes in a spectacular yet little-known area on the outskirts of the Natural Park, introducing visitors to a landscape of contrasts, where the sunny slopes are dominated by boxwood and holm oak scrub, whilst the shady slopes are home to a mixed forest of beech and Scots pine.
The trail starts and ends in the village centre of Arguis. The route is circular, but the recommended option is to climb up the sun-facing slope of the Sierra de Bonés, then descend along the shady side until you reach a forest track. To reach the Magdalena chapel, cross this track and continue to the right for about 700 metres until you reach the chapel.
To continue the route, you head back until you reach the track again, following it in the direction towards the Mesón Nuevo, until you reach the path which branches off to the right and connects with the livestock track a23> which ends in front of the buildings of the Mesón Nuevo. From here the continues the route along a path which descends down to Arguis and which is marked as a Nature Trail.
