The Sommos winery is the most exclusive and contemporary of the Denomination of Origin Protected Somontano. Sommos produces a range of elegant and honest wines which perfectly reflect the different varieties of grapes that are work in the Somontano and their adaptation to the various soils and microclimates that we find in this small wine-growing region.
The winery boasts a spectacular building, inspired by the silhouette of the Pyrenean peak Cotiella. It was chosen by The Drinks Business as the second winery to feature in the “Top 10 architectural wonders of the wine world”, and not only for its beauty, but also for its functionality in the production of fine wines. The entire winemaking process is powered by gravity, which makes use of the 30-metre depth to which the cellar has been excavated. Here, we find the latest technological innovations that enable winegrowers and winemakers to carry out their craft with great precision.
